This Infant of Prague lesson plan is designed to engage students in exploring the rich history and significance of the revered statue of the Infant Jesus of Prague. This lesson provides an interdisciplinary approach, integrating elements of art, religion, and cultural studies. Students will learn about the origins of the statue with use of our book, "The Little King: The Story of the Infant of Prague."

 

Through hands-on activities, such as creating their own artistic representations or crafting prayers inspired by the statue, learners will deepen their understanding of faith expressions.  By the end of the lesson, students will not only appreciate the artistic beauty of the Infant of Prague but also reflect on its enduring influence in contemporary religious practices.
